Sprinkler & Fire Protection Installer
A Sprinkler & Fire Protection Installer is a skilled tradesperson who installs, inspects, and maintains fire suppression systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. They work with a variety of fire suppression systems, such as sprinklers, foam, and dry chemical systems, and ensure that they are functioning properly and meet local and national safety codes. Sprinkler & Fire Protection Installers must have a strong knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems and be able to read blueprints and schematics. They work in a variety of settings, including construction sites, manufacturing facilities, and HVAC companies, and must follow strict safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries on the job.

Duties & Responsibilities
-
Measure, cut, fit, install and/or secure glass panes, window parts & architectural metals

Read and interpret drawings & specifications

Work with and install plastic, granite, aluminum panels and other similar materials used as glass substitutes
-
Work from mobile equipment, scaffolds and swing stages, sometimes at great heights, to manoeuvre glass panels that are lifted by cranes and other lifting equipment
