Painter & Decorator (Industrial)
A Painter & Decorator (Industrial) is a skilled tradesperson who applies paint, coatings, and other protective finishes to industrial surfaces, such as pipes, tanks, and machinery. They must have a good understanding of surface preparation, paint application techniques, and safety regulations. Painter & Decorator (Industrial) may also be responsible for removing old paint and rust, cleaning and sandblasting surfaces, and applying primers and sealants. They work in a variety of industrial settings and must follow strict safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries on the job. They may also be responsible for selecting and ordering paint and other materials.

Duties & Responsibilities

Measure, cut, fit, install and/or secure glass panes, window parts & architectural metals

Read and interpret drawings & specifications

Work with and install plastic, granite, aluminum panels and other similar materials used as glass substitutes
-
Work from mobile equipment, scaffolds and swing stages, sometimes at great heights, to manoeuvre glass panels that are lifted by cranes and other lifting equipment
